Dr. Gopika Sabu, Post Doctoral Fellow at SRIBS, was invited by the Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology, Kannur University, to deliver an expert talk on “Molecular Dynamics Simulation: The Art of Mimicking Real Life.” The session offered valuable insights into how molecular dynamics (MD) simulations enable researchers to explore the structural and conformational evolution of biomolecules at the atomistic level. Dr. Gopika discussed the fundamentals of MD – the what, why and how – from its theoretical basis to advanced applications and presented simulation trajectories to provide a clear understanding of the process. The talk inspired students to integrate computational approaches into biological research and highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary expertise in modern science.
